Move from Shopify
Bring your catalog across in a few minutes: products, variants and their options, SKUs, prices, stock, images and descriptions. Running it again is safe: products are matched by their Shopify id or SKU, nothing is duplicated, and prices or stock you've changed in CommerceForAI are kept.
From an export file (no API access needed)
- In Shopify: Products → Export, all products, CSV.
- In the CommerceForAI dashboard: the store's Import from Shopify section, upload the file.
Or from code:
import { readFileSync } from "node:fs";
const { data } = await commerce.store.importFromShopify({ csv: readFileSync("products_export.csv", "utf8") });
// { products_created: 136, products_updated: 0, variants_created: 612, warnings: [] }From the Admin API
Create a custom app in Shopify (Settings → Apps → Develop apps) with the read_products and read_inventory scopes, then:
await commerce.store.importFromShopify({
shop: "your-store.myshopify.com",
access_token: process.env.SHOPIFY_ADMIN_TOKEN!,
});The token is used for the import and not stored. The MCP tool is import_from_shopify.
